Professional  Awards

Each year, the Academic Staff Professional Development Committee honors academic staff at Wayne State University through its awards. Competitions for three awards are considered annually, and the award is presented at the annual spring reception. Additionally, awardee names and photos are placed on a plaque that is on display in the student center.

Professional Achievement Award

Presented in recognition of demonstrated leadership, significant accomplishments in professional organizations, or presentations and/or publications.

Distinguished Service Award

Presented in recognition of significant service to students, the University, one's own department, and/or  community organizations.

The Outstanding Contributor Award

This award is presented in recognition of significant accomplishments during the previous academic year and emerging leadership among junior academic staff.
