September 16, 2009 – The Breakfast Buzz

WSU Academic Staff are invited to join ASPDC for the Breakfast Buzz on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the McGregor memorial Conference Center. Held during Welcome Back Wayne Week, the Breakfast Buzz will kick-off ASPDC Programs for the 2009-2010 academic year. This highly informative session will teach you how to more out of your involvement with professional organizations; inform you of some of the benefits of working at Wayne State University; and help you enhance your time as academic staff. During breakfast, you’ll network with colleagues from various departments and learn more about upcoming ASPDC programs.
October 15, 2009 – E-Dossiers for Academic Staff
12:00 (noon) – 1:30 pm
Undergraduate Library Computer Lab C (3rd floor)
Join ASPDC in a special hands-on workshop on how to complete an electronic dossier for promotion and ESS. The event will include a review of what is necessary for promotion and ESS as well as a demonstration and practice session on creating an electronic dossier, which is endorsed by the Office of the Provost. Handouts will be available.

November 18, 2009 – ASPDC at Pewabic Pottery

This event is an opportunity for Academic Staff to learn about resources in the Metropolitan Detroit area that can enrich their knowledge about the local community and enhance the service provided in their current positions.
Pewabic Pottery is a National Historic Landmark and Michigan’s only Arts & Craft-era pottery. This two-hour event will include a docent-led tour of Pewabic Pottery’s history and Museum, Fabrication Studio, various galleries and Education Studio. Participants will also be given all materials to create and decorate a clay object which Pewabic will kiln fire.
